Iraq Domain Requirements:                                                                                                                                                                                           

*Application Form (can be submitted by mail, email or fax)                                                                                                                               

*A legalized and notarized PoA up to the Iraqi Consulate                             

If client does not choose this option, they may legalize the PoA up to a Jordanian consulate,

AGIP will then offer super-legalization of this document in Jordan.

*Special Notes    

*In order to register a domain name in Iraq, the domain owner must have a Trademark in Iraq  

(similar or identical) to the domain name or a Commercial Registration Certificate in Iraq.                                                                                                                            

*CMC would request a certification letter from the Trademark Office on trademark registrations submitted to them which would be processed

 with the chamber of commerce regarding the trade names. The cost for acquiring such certification amounts to US$ 45 per certificate.

*CMC has held off on allowing companies to register directly under .iq. The extension(.com.iq )is now the only available registration

for businesses until CMC looks into this matter further in the near future.                           

*Foreign companies must have a local agent (for example our company AGIP Iraq) located in Iraq to directly work with the

CMC (Communications and Media Commission. Also, AGIP must be listed as the administrative contact.

*There is a possibility for the requirements being amended during CMC startup period.
